Un autre avantage des objectifs standards est trop peu mentionné : il offrent en effet la possibilité de viser en gardant les deux yeux ouverts, l'un surveillant les éléments présents dans le cadre et l'autre ce qui se passe à l'extérieur. On gagne ainsi en efficacité, notamment pour les photos d'action, tout en diminuant la fatigue oculaire.
