Description

Description The Portland Public Market, in Portland, Oregon. The building was completed in 1933 and was located along Front Street (later named Front Avenue, and now Naito Parkway), with its back being along the Willamette River "sea wall". The market closed in 1942, and the building then saw a succession of other tenants (including The Oregon Journal newspaper from 1948 to 1961) until it was demolished, in 1969. This view is looking east on Yamhill Street toward Front Street (later named Front Avenue, and now Naito Parkway).
