For 24 years I thought the advance was broken on this camera after wasting two rolls of film. I even brought the camera to a repairman who said it was more expansive to repair it than to buy another one. I kept it for sentimental reasons, and recently I found the service manual online, bought some jewelry tools, and decided to give it a try. It turns out that one little screw on the plastic receptor roll was rusted, so I added some WD40 in order to unscrew it. And bingo, the grey plastic part started to turn around the spindle..and the camera is fixed. Speeds below 1/30 stick sometimes however, and the mirror does not return every time.
I bought a 625 adapter for it at the small battery company and it seems to work longer than the Wien cells, which die after less than 1 month.
